Why I Live?…What For?

Often people ask ‘who created me or who allowed me to live?’ to imply that i am alive because of God’s will. I am not alive by God’s will…hence, am not born to serve God (if any), I am Atheist. I dont accept that.

My body tells me that I am alive as long as my organs are functioning. And, both my body and soul (if any) are the same. Who created me? Foolhardy i would say ‘mam and dady’, but, Philosophically, i would say ‘existence exist’. …I ask all these because i exist, independent of my consciousness. So it does not worry.

What i see are two eternal darkness: before my birth and after death, and my life seems like a spark of light between these two eternal darknesses.
Therefore, as many atheists ask, if eternal life is an illusion, how can I make the most of my only lives? Day in day out, I ask myself ‘what is the reason that I live for?’

Who said that ‘a Man’s life is valuable than that of a Monkey only because man can figure out the purpose of its existence.’? That is my saying, and someone else too.

I am not naive to beleive that God has a plan for all self importance since it is a flaw to human nature. Rather, after a long process of introspection and then extrospection, i found that the only way to value my life is by Valuing others life! And it is the principle of my life that i live for.

However, as Ayn Rand argues, if a man existed to to serve an entity beyond himself, whether God or Society then he would not have right, but only the duties of servant. Take God out of the equation, and since my motto is valuing others life, which could be taken as the society in general, Often people ask ‘who created me or who allowed me to live?’ to imply that i am alive because of God’s will. However, as to Ayn Rand argues, if a man existed to to serve an entity beyond himself, whether God or Society then he would not have right, but only the duties of servant. Take God out of the equation, and since the motto of my life is valuing others life, which could mean the society in general, does it contradict with Ayn Rand’s argument? No, it is not. Because, she also argues underlines that rights are rights to the actions necessary for the preservation of a rational being.

It is because i exercised my rational capability for its own merit that i reached to the conclusion. Nobody planned and imposed it on me. I made inquiries and defined it for my self. Therefore it is a right, not a duty of servant.

For me valuing others life is adding value to someone’s life that make it better. As a teacher by profession, I can add value to someone’s life by creating something that he can use, inspiring him take to an action, showing him a better way of doing something, or providing a new perspective. Hence, by these and other ways of adding value, I can contribute to someone’s life in a meaningful way.

Why adding value? There are two reasons. Firstly, I benefited from someone’s added value in the past in which i have been inspired and encouraged by the value created by several other people. The second reason is, as human being, i got nothing better to do for life.

Despite for those who live as per of God’s plan, which is a herd mentality, can you live a valuable life without valuing others life?

As a human being, what else can you do that enables you to live a meaningfull life?
Be it Christ, Mohammed or Buddha; Be it your Mam or Dad; Be it Aristotle, Enstien, Jhon Stwart Mills, Thomas Paine, Ayn Rand, Immanuel Kant, Gahandi, Mandela, Meles Zenawi, Zere-Yaqob,…. All the role models one can mention, they all did the same-adding value to others life.

Without a reason to live for, with undefined purpose of your existence…being alive alone does not worth your time!!!!!!!!!
